Brasserie De Kongo is a cosy meeting place in the centre of Merksplas, where you can enjoy an extensive menu with fresh and flavourful dishes. Whether you choose breakfast, lunch, dinner or a pleasant snack and drink, you are welcome here in a warm ambiance.
The location has a rich history, with the former inn In de Congo and the hotel-restaurant Ter Marcke. After a thorough renovation, the current brasserie is a contemporary place where hospitality is central, run by the Schuermans family.
For a relaxed start to the day, De Kongo offers various breakfast options, from a small breakfast to the extensive Kongo breakfast. Breakfast is available by reservation only, including fresh rolls, eggs, yoghurt with granola and hot drinks.
In addition to breakfast, you can also choose from a varied selection of snacks, starters, main courses, salads, pasta dishes and desserts. The menu features homemade specialities such as cheese and shrimp croquettes, scampi and various desserts.
The brasserie is suitable for a pleasant gathering with friends or family, with friendly and personal service. Children are also not forgotten with a special children’s menu.
For those who want to enjoy a snack in between, there are various snacks and bites available, such as bitterballen, spring rolls and homemade croquettes. These are especially available on weekends and public holidays until 5 PM.
