Did you know that the fortress of Hellevoetsluis has a rich history? The fortress is a characteristic Dutch fortified harbour that was established in the early 17th century to strengthen the war and trade port. Hellevoetsluis was the naval base of Holland. Buildings like the Tromphuys and the kruythuys still remind us of that time.

The building of Stars was once the old mayor’s residence, which features a balcony. Here you can also dine romantically!
