Did you know that the fortress of Hellevoetsluis has a rich history? The fortress is a characteristic Dutch fortress harbour that was established in the early 17th century to strengthen the war and trade harbour. Hellevoetsluis was the naval base of Holland. Buildings like the Tromphuys and the kruythuys still remind us of that time.

The building of Stars was formerly the old mayor’s residence, which features a balcony. Here you can also dine romantically!
